Having a set back

Ok. So the universe is winning. Angus has finally adjusted to returning to standard time and is no longer waking up before 6, which means neither am I. Even with the alarm clock.

Between the oversleeping and the rain, the workouts this week have sucked. And, I must admit, so has my energy level. Could there be a correlation? The experts say so. But, until this past two weeks, I never believed them.

AH, what to do?

Photos of Luke from the last show are available for viewing. Check them out. Luke and I are doing the flat course. He and Heather are doing the jumping.

He is soooo cute.

Later for now.

Here's my 12 of 12. Happy Birthday Chad. Chad started 12 of 12.

Am I really?

You scored as Mermaid.

Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women
who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their
haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids
are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and
extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they
are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to
meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your
soul, for you are a Mermaid.

Why do people get depressed (or do they)

around their family members (since departed this realm) birthdays or anniversaries? Some times, we dont even realize it.

Just asking. My mom has been dead 3 1/2 years and yesterday would have been her 78th birthday. I have been feeling "punk" due to my cold, but I didn't realize until today that yesterday was the tenth. I have been a day off all month. I thought Saturday was the tenth. I have no motivation to get moving. WHY is that?

Week Eight (Several Days Late)

WOW! It has been ten days since I posted anything. Wish I could say that the lack of posts was due to being busy. No, just the common cold. So, the week didn’t go to well either.

Thursday (November 2): Epic Circuit. No cardio. I think I am coming down with a cold. Was hoping that it was Halloween residual after visiting friends, who have house cats, for fright night.

Friday (November 3): Yep. It is a cold. Also, slept in. Partied too hardy at the Open House last night. Will try and go for a walk in the afternoon. (Didn’t happen)

Saturday (November 4) Rode Luke for about an hour. It was our first time at the new barn. He has been there, but this is the first time I rode him. Did lots of laundry and housework.

Sunday (November 5) Repaired fences and the feeding pens. Slept most of the day. Bloody Cold.

Monday (November 6) Slept until 7 am. It will be dark by the time I get home. Another day gone.

Tuesday (November 7) Went to vote first thing. Still having trouble with the nose. Have a physical tomorrow.

Wednesday (November 8) No excuse, but the cold.

Universe: 6 Me: 1

Given the way I feel today (November 8th) Next week may not go any better. Need to find that motivator.

12 of 12 is tomorrow

See Chad's site for details. See my October post for my first published participation. (I have been taking photos since June, but have only been able to get October's up).

I will be going to San Francisco for a Salon and Spa conference. Not sure what the weather will bring.

Hopefully, my techno-geek assistant will be available tomorrow evening to get my photos up. Otherwise, I will have another folder on my laptop.

Week Seven

Thursday (October 26th): Epic Training Circuit. Walked one mile.

Friday: (October 27th): Regular Friday off. Attended Let’s Show Halloween Show. Warmed Luke up for Heather. Rode for about 20 minutes. Walked around show grounds.

Saturday (October 28th) Let’s Show. Rode in two classes. Rode in the warm-up arena. Rode Luke (at a walk) around show grounds. Was on Luke about 2 hours. Walked all over show grounds at Rancho Murieta Equine Complex.

Sunday (October 29th) Let’s Show. Rode in two classes. On about an hour.

Monday: (October 30th) Took Day off, thinking I would be tired from the weekend. (actually got up at 4, because Angus (17-year old lab mix) has not adjusted to returning to “regular time”. Cleaned house and helped Heather decorate her house for Halloween.

Tuesday (October 31st): Walk/run one mile. Overslept. Angus is still getting up at 4.

Wednesday (November 1st): Overslept again…(Wait, let me define oversleeping regarding these past few days. Angus wakes up at 4; I let him out. He comes back around 4:15; I let him back in. I go back to bed. Alarm goes off at 5:15, just as I am getting back into the snooze. I roll out at 6. Too late to get in the car, get to the office, work out and be at my desk by 7:30….

So, how do you score this week? Only two actual exercise timeslots, but lots of activity.
